Winners of the FINE Fishing Sector Award

The 8th edition of the FINE Awards were held on 22 May in Vigo, coinciding with the Navalia International Shipbuilding Exhibition.
The maritime industry awards par excellence took place at the Pazo de Los Escudos. The event brought together 400 executives from the maritime sector with the goal of highlighting the work, development and innovation potential of the industry as a whole. The FINE Awards represent a clear commitment to the promotion of the maritime sector, as well as support for the stakeholders and entrepreneurial values that make it up and characterise it. Pescapuerta has been pleased to receive the Fishing Sector Award. Ángel Armesto, Group Director, had the honour of collecting the prize, presented to him by Iñaki Arbulu, CEO of the Grupo Arbulu. Other award winners were the ship Cap de Barbaria as Outstanding Vessel, Astilleros Ría de Vigo as Outstanding Shipyard, and Naviera Murueta as Outstanding Shipowner. In addition, the winning maritime energy project was Cotenaval. The recipient of the Outstanding Professional Award was Publio Beltrán, who took to the stage to collect the prize presented to him by Patricio Fernández, CEO of Industrias Ferri. Finally, Soermar won the award for Outstanding Institution. Special prizes were awarded to Fred Olsen on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, and Abance on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. Abance also made its debut as FINE’s sponsor in this edition. The night ended with the Award of Honour to José Luis Caraballo, highlighting his contribution and good work to the Spanish maritime sector.
